This release was originally scheduled for November ‘07, but now it seems to be nearing completion. But with Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) out tomorrow it might have been better to release 0710 a bit earlier with fewer features.
Look here for the changelog.
It is still not available for public download, but should be shortly.

The changes since Alpha 2:
Lots of bug fixes across the board in Ubiquity and Mythbuntu Control Centre.
The installer menu has been merged with the Ubuntu installer menu. This lets you boot right into the installer.
Totem can speak MythTV now for playback.
New version of XMLTV
New MythTV checkouts (basically latest 0.21-fixes)

This is based on Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron). Ubuntu 8.04 is scheduled for release in April and Mythbuntu is usually not far behind.
Mythbuntu 8.04 is based on MythTV 0.21-fixes which is not yet released.
Ubuntu 8.04 contains Xorg 7.3, Linux Kernel 2.6.24 and many more things.

On Phoronix they have made a thorough review of Mythbuntu 7.10.
If you are considering using Mythbuntu, then you should definately check it out. They have lots of screen shots and a lot of information about what makes this distribution different from other distributions. They like Mythbuntu a lot. Just look at their conclusion:

Mythbuntu was released just last week (25th of October) and has already been downloaded more than 20000 times according to this post.
That is quite a lot. But I quess it makes sense… Ubuntu + MythTV, what is not to love…?

As expected it was announced today that the first stable version of Mythbuntu has been released. As you may know it is based on Ubuntu 7.10 which was released last week.
