Setting up Logitech diNovo Mini keyboard for MythTV

Frequent readers of this blog will know that I am a big fan of this Logitech keyboard. And now on the MythTV wiki there is a new page describing how you can get the most out of your diNovo keyboard, including how to set up those extra buttons and the “mouse track-pad”.

Unfortunately, Logitech hasn’t been so kind with providing drivers for Linux users. If you were to buy the diNovo Mini right now and try it with you Linux HTPC, you’ll find that the qwerty keyboard works, but many of the special function keys and mouse buttons aren’t recognized. As such, someone in the MythTV community jumped on the case and configured xmodmap to recognize and map the keys to their proper function. The fix is actually pretty simple and easy to implement.
