Best power supply for your MythTV box

SilentPCReview.com just crowned a new PSU king. It is the Enermax Modu82+ 625W.
As you might have guessed, it is 625 watts and it is the least noisy power supply they have tested yet, if you ignore the passively cooled ones. It is also available as 525 and 425 watts.

Pioneer to stop producing plasmas?

It sounds like it is almost certain that Pioneer will stop producing Plasmas and instead buy them elsewhere.
Since Pioneer plasmas are among the best, this is quite a pity.

Mythbuntu 8.04 Alpha 3 is available

The changes since Alpha 2:

Lots of bug fixes across the board in Ubiquity and Mythbuntu Control Centre.
The installer menu has been merged with the Ubuntu installer menu. This lets you boot right into the installer.
Totem can speak MythTV now for playback.

LinuxMCE 0710 beta4 is out

The 0710 release was originally intended to be out in November ‘07, but now it seems like they are targeting the release of MythTV 0.21.

Autodetecting 4:3 zoom aspect ratio for MythTV

I recently bought myself a nice LCD TV, which of course has a 16:9 aspect ratio. My signal is still analog SD and so I find myself constantly changing the aspect ratio manually of the show I am watching.
