Someday your MythTV frontend will look like this

Ever heard of Gloss? It is a MythTV Frontend with a lot of focus on appearance and very little focus on features. Which, to put it a little hard is basically the opposite of the current MythTV Frontend.

Gloss is nowhere near a replacement for the official frontend as it is right now, there are simple not enough features yet. But it is an interesting showcase.

The fact that MythTV is behind other PVR solutions is not unknown to the MythTV developers and they are slowly moving towards a much richer UI. It is known as MythUI and it sounds like it could become the UI of MythTV 0.22.
