Status of YouTube integration in MythTV
Although the quality of a lot of the videos on YouTube is pretty crappy, there are also some very good ones. So naturally integrating that in MythTV is high on a lot of people’s wishlists. It seems that today there is not a solution for this problem, but there are a number of options which probably in some combination could work.
It sounds like MythNews has some support of video enclosures in SVN, but I have not tried it.
MythNetTv has just been updated, gaining support for WMV and FLV. The release note for release 2 is available here.
FLV or flash is of course the format used by YouTube and many other video hosting sites. The problem though is that YouTube does not include the URL to the FLV file in their RSS feeds. So MythNetTv is probably not able to grab the YouTube videos.
But youtube-dl is definately able to do download the FLV file, so all that is needed is a script that will download the RSS feed from YouTube and integrate with youtube-dl.
I have not been able to find such a script, but I did find this long list of YouTube tools.
Do you have a solution for this? Comments are welcome.

YouTube is using H.264 for the AppleTV, iPhone, and iPodT, content.
Yes, I know, but I have not been able to find the url for those. If I look at m.youtube.com, I can see .3gp videos, but only through the rtsp protocol.
