The release statement is here. Mythbuntu is based on Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon which is scheduled for final release on October 18th.

Significant changes:

• Control centre
  • You can use the control centre to easily switch between, backend, frontend configurations, i.e. BE/FE combo, BE only, etc.
  • You can now add/remove MythTV plugins
  • LIRC configuration
  • Enable/disable services such as SSH, Samba, NFS
• Mythstream plugin added
• Misc bugfixes

There are also new screenshots available.
