LinuxMCE 0704 RC1 was released two weeks ago and now it has been finalised.
Along with the release comes a 24 minute demo video - either from Google Video in low res or from linuxmce.org in HD.

If you have a lot of music in MythMusic without album covers then a new script will be able to help you. It works by scraping the album covers from Amazon.com.

Schedules Direct has just announced that they have licensed television program information for the US and Canada from Tribune Media Services.
This will bring relief to the many MythTV users getting more and more nervous about the potentially missing data after September 1st.

If you like your HTPC case to look nice, be small and have a built in display, then you should check out the SilverStone Milo ML02 review, which they have posted on phoronix.com.
The case is only 82mm high and includes a 120w fanless PSU.

There is a new release available of mythbuntu. If you didn’t know, it is a distribution made for MythTV, based on Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon).
There are lots of small additions in this new alpha, with an AMD64 build and lirc support as the main ones. It is beginning to look like a really nice distribution. [...]
