Idea: Using twitter to monitor MythTV

TwitterIf you are a Vodafone customer, then you should be able to use newly created tool MythSMS. It sends you an SMS and can be used with MythTV user jobs to notify you when a recording or transcoding has finished.

Very nice. I love it when tools are combined to create neat solutions. In this case twitter could be used instead of Vodafone. That would allow more people to set this up. Here is a script for monitoring your server and notifying you via SMS - all for free. It should be easy to customize for MythTV. Let me know if you do this.
