Linux 2.6.22 Released

Linus Torvalds has released the latest version of the Linux Kernel - 2.6.22.

So what’s in it for a MythTV user? Here are some of the highlights:

  • This is the first kernel to have the ivtv driver included (0.10.x).
  • New wireless stack. The actual drivers will have to be updated. Some distributions like Ubuntu and Fedora are already using the updated drivers.
  • New framebuffer driver (vt8623fb) for VIA VT8623.
