If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
The Mythbuntu folks have been pretty busy with their Public Alpha 2. They are now based on Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon Tribe 2 and it seems they have added lots of new stuff to the installer.
The intention is to track Ubuntu 7.10 and to “adapt an identical target release date”, which currently means october.
So be aware that this is an alpha release of a distribution which is based on an alpha version of Ubuntu.
And now for the details:
- You can now specify any combination of Master/Slave backend/frontend.
- All official plugins are supported
- ATI & Nvidia drivers are included
- You can specify your kind of TV Out
- Optionally install SSH, NFS and Samba servers
