  1. I listened to their podcast just now. I was impressed by its accuracy for the most part but I object to their stance of the “designed by engineers” look the UI has, despite my own theme gaining praise there.

There was also one of the niggles a guy had with myth that could easily have been solved by him reading the documentation - where he mentions that selecting a channel in the TV guide doesn’t switch to the channel - instead it takes him to options to record the show - the behaviour of that part of mythtv is configurable.

Mostly good & fair though - but as with most other ‘reviews’ could have done with more research into their subject.

  2. I did not listen to the podcast myself, but to be fair, doing a review of something as complex as MythTV is hard to do completely right, even if you have been a long time user - simply because of the number of options available.
But I guess that the flexibility is one of the things we love about MythTV.
    Thanks for the comments.
