YouTube video showing AppleTV running MythTV

Cult of Mac has found a video on YouTube with a demo of AppleTV running the MythTV frontend.

The guy on the video states that he did not crack the AppleTV open to remove the harddisk, as it was previously neccessary to do. Instead he used a “Patchstick”. This method is documented on awkwardTV.com. This method still requires you to have an Intel Mac  running 10.4.x and actually also one of the files from the AppleTV you are trying to gain access to… Yes, the old chicken and egg problem, but work is apparently being done to remove this requirement.

Also notable is the time it takes to start LiveTV. From the remote is pressed, until the first frames are shown, it takes 25 seconds! After that changing channels, fast forwarding, etc. looks pretty normal.
